Project Overview

British Builders attended a residential property on Baron Street, London, to carry out bedroom wall repairs and redecoration works. The work focused on an affected lower wall section, surrounding skirting boards, window area and internal finishes where the surface required careful preparation, repair and repainting.

The photos show the bedroom area, skirting boards, window reveal, carpeted floor and repaired internal wall sections. Our team protected the room before starting, removed the affected skirting where required, opened up the lower wall section for inspection and prepared the area for repair. Once the damaged section had been addressed, new plasterboard and patching materials were applied to create a stable, smooth surface ready for decorating.

The repaired wall, skirting and surrounding areas were then prepared and painted to achieve a clean, refreshed finish. The wider bedroom area was checked after completion to ensure the visible surfaces, edges and junctions around the floor, window and wall were left neat and tidy.

Scope of Work

• Protected the bedroom area, flooring and nearby furniture before starting the works.

Challenges & Solutions

• The repair area was positioned at low level near skirting and flooring, so careful protection and neat cutting were required to avoid unnecessary disruption to the bedroom finish.
• The affected wall section needed to be opened and inspected before being closed, ensuring the repair was not only cosmetic but also properly prepared underneath.
• Matching the existing painted finish required careful surface preparation and a clean decorating approach to keep the repaired area looking consistent with the room.
• The work was carried out around existing carpet, window trims and skirting details, so extra care was taken to leave edges and junctions tidy.

Final Outcome

The affected bedroom wall section was repaired, reboarded where required, patched, prepared and painted. Skirting and trim areas were reinstated neatly, and the surrounding bedroom finishes were left clean and presentable.

The room was left tidy, with the repaired wall blended into the existing interior finish and the work area cleared of dust, debris and leftover materials.
