Project Overview

British Builders attended a residential property on Speedwell Close in Cherry Hinton, Cambridge to replace the existing entrance door with a new fire-rated front door system.

The old door was worn and no longer suitable for the required security and fire safety performance. Our team removed the existing door and fittings, prepared the opening, and installed a compatible fire-rated door set with certified ironmongery, smoke seals, intumescent strips and a self-closing mechanism.

The new door was aligned, adjusted and tested for smooth opening, secure closing and reliable self-closing operation. Disturbed areas around the frame were sealed, made good and cleaned down to leave a neat, safe finish.
