Bathroom Plumbing Repairs, Resealing and Wall Treatment — Marina One, New Wharf Road, London
Project Overview
British Builders attended a residential property at Marina One, New Wharf Road in London to complete bathroom plumbing repairs, resealing works and wall treatment.
The bathroom had defective waste connections, exposed pipework, deteriorated sealant and moisture-affected wall surfaces around the bath, toilet and basin areas. Our team opened the required access areas, removed worn fittings where needed and replaced the toilet waste, basin waste, bath waste, bath trap and tap connections with suitable new components.
Once the plumbing repairs were complete, the bath perimeter was cleaned, prepared and resealed using anti-mould sanitary-grade silicone. Moisture-affected wall areas were repaired, treated, primed and redecorated to restore a cleaner and more reliable bathroom finish.
Scope of Work
- Site attendance and inspection of defective bathroom plumbing
- Opening access around bath, basin and toilet pipework
- Replacement of toilet waste pipe and rear pipe connections
- Replacement of basin waste, bath waste assembly and bath trap
- Replacement and adjustment of bath tap connections
- Securing and testing of new plumbing fittings and waste connections
- Removal of defective and mould-affected silicone around the bath
- Cleaning and resealing of bath-to-wall junctions with anti-mould silicone
- Repair, filling, sanding and treatment of affected wall areas
- Priming, repainting, clean-down and waste removal on completion
Challenges & Solutions
- Multiple plumbing faults — Toilet, basin, bath waste and tap connections were repaired as one coordinated package.
- Restricted access — Panels and tight areas were opened carefully to reach the affected pipework.
- Leak prevention — New fittings, seals and trap components were installed to reduce future water escape.
- Failed bath sealant — Old silicone was removed fully before new sanitary sealant was applied.
- Moisture-affected walls — Damaged surfaces were treated, made good and redecorated for a cleaner finish.
Final Outcome
The bathroom plumbing repairs, resealing and wall treatment works were completed successfully.
Defective waste connections were replaced, all new fittings were secured, sealed and tested, and the bath perimeter was resealed with sanitary-grade anti-mould silicone. Moisture-affected wall areas were repaired, treated and redecorated.
The completed works addressed the likely causes of water escape and improved the visible bathroom finish, leaving the area clean, tidy and ready for normal use.
