Project Overview

British Builders carried out a larger multi-trade maintenance package at a property on Chamberlayne Avenue, Wembley, combining pest proofing, tree removal and a series of general repair works inside and outside the home.

The works covered several identified access points and maintenance concerns, including roof and fascia gaps, the rear garden tree, the front entrance WC, kitchen voids, the extractor outlet, rear garden clutter and rear door alignment, alongside rodent control measures to reduce the risk of further activity.

 

Scope of Work
  • Inspected the property internally and externally for rodent access points and signs of activity
  • Sealed gaps and holes to the roofline and fascia areas using exterior-grade materials and weatherproof sealant
  • Completed minor repairs to loose or lifted fascia sections to allow proper sealing
  • Carefully dismantled and removed the large rear garden tree in sections
  • Cleared branches, trunk sections and green waste from the rear garden
  • Sealed visible gaps in the front entrance WC area to help prevent pest ingress and draughts
  • Removed kitchen plinths and inspected accessible unit voids, floor junctions and service penetrations
  • Sealed identified openings and reinstated the kitchen fittings after inspection
  • Installed a weatherproof and rodent-proof cover to the external extractor outlet
  • Decluttered sections of the rear garden to reduce harbourage points
  • Assessed and adjusted the rear external door to improve closure and reduce gaps
  • Placed rodent control measures in relevant areas and completed associated proofing works
  • Removed waste from site and left the working areas tidy

 

Challenges & Solutions
  • There were multiple potential access points across the property — These were systematically inspected and sealed in the key internal and external areas.
  • A large tree was positioned close to fences and the building — It was cut down in controlled sections to avoid damage and allow safe clearance.
  • The repair package covered several different areas of the home — The works were coordinated as one broader remedial visit to improve both maintenance and pest prevention at the same time.

 

Final Outcome

The property received a broad programme of pest proofing and general repairs, with vulnerable entry points addressed, the rear garden tree removed, clutter reduced and associated repair items completed across several locations.

These works helped improve the condition of the exterior and internal access points while supporting a safer, cleaner and more secure environment for the household.
